Last month marked the conclusion of the 2023 wrestling season, and it was truly a remarkable and triumphant period for Scottish Wrestling.
We are thrilled to announce that Team Scotland emerged as the champions of British Wrestling's inaugural Home Nations Showdown. This event brought together the best wrestlers from across the UK, and our team’s hard work, dedication, and exceptional skill led them to victory. This achievement is a testament to the relentless efforts of our athletes, coaches, and support staff, who have all contributed to this outstanding success.
In addition to this significant victory, Scottish Wrestling was honoured at the British Wrestling Community Awards. We were awarded the "Event of the Year" title for the Scottish Open. This award recognises the exceptional organisation, competitiveness, and spirit of the event. The Scottish Open showcased the very best of our sport, and is a reflection of the great work of our executive team and volunteers.
