Scottish Wrestling, as a partner of sportscotland, is committed to the Scottish Government’s Fair Work First policy, taking to deliver high quality and fair work, and workforce diversity. We are committed to delivering on the following Fair Work First criteria: 

Living wage
Scottish Wrestling pays the Real Living wage to all staff and contractors.

Effective voice 
Scottish Wrestling are committed to fostering an environment where every voice matters. We prioritise open dialogue and invite feedback, where it is relevant to do so. 

  • We directly engage with our staff and contractors through surveys, one to one meetings and provide opportunities for transparent discussions with our senior management.

  • We recognise Trade Union membership and will consult with Trade Unions on related matters whenever possible. 

Workforce development 

  • Scottish Wrestling believes in investing in our staff and we are committed to workforce development.

  • We provide appropriate training opportunities through Scottish Wrestling and partner organisations like sportscotland, British Wrestling, Children1st and others.

  • We consult with our staff members about their training needs and aim to support their development to the best of our ability. 

Zero hours contracts
Scottish Wrestling do not inappropriately use zero hours contracts.

Diversity and inclusion 
Scottish Wrestling are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels seen, valued and respected.

Flexible and family friendly working 
Scottish Wrestling has a flexible working policy and we are working on developing and implementing a family friendly policy. 

Fire and re-hire
Scottish Wrestling opposes the use of “fire and re-hire” practices. We will undertake full and meaningful consultations with our people and relevant organisations when making any changes to our employment terms and conditions.
