Aberdeen Wrestling Club is a Olympic Freestyle Wrestling Club based out of the City of Aberdeen in the North East of Scotland. We are a new club for juniors based in the south of the city at Kincorth Community Centre.
Our primary focus is getting more kids wrestling. We firmly believe that Wrestling is a sport that develops life skills such as Resilience, determination and respect and are keen to share that message through our sport.
We will also be running adult classes too in due course but for the time being we are looking to build our base from P1 - S3. We are open to both boys and girls who want to try something new, gain some new skills and learn a new sport.
We have a fantastic committee in place who all agree on the club ethos and want to help develop the sport in Aberdeen.
Mike Wallace a British Wresting UKCC Level 2 coach and former rugby league player who transferred to wrestling 5 years ago and fell in love with the sport whilst training to gain a place in the Scottish Commonwealth Games squad and wants to pass on a similar experience. Ryan will also be helping out at the sessions, Ryan is a former Greco wrestler from Azerbaijan with some fantastic experience to pass on.
