The club was accompanied by coaches Steven McKeown and Alan Airlie, with Alan stating that "Our wrestlers have done fantastically well to have taken home 6 medals from this event. The quality of wrestling at international tournaments is always of a high standard which means all our medals are well deserved".

In addition, on Saturday 8th October, Stuart McKay represented Great Britain at the 2016 World Veteran Wrestling Championships in Poland. Stuart placed 5th in Division D 76kg and was very unlucky not to take home a bronze medal. Nevertheless, Stuart said "It is always a pleasure to represent Great Britain on the international wrestling stage. While I am of course disappointed not to have medalled this year, I will continue to train hard towards my goal of a medal at the World Veteran Championships".
